Are you on the Autoimmune Paleo diet and you’re too busy to prepare your own AIP snacks? Are you traveling and need AIP snacks that are packaged? Here’s a list of the best AIP packaged snacks when you’re too busy to prepare your own or you’re on the go.
I’ve been on the Autoimmune Paleo diet for over a year now. I try to introduce foods back into my diet, but overall I feel best on the AIP diet.
It’s hard to eat out or grab food on the go when you’re on such a strict diet like AIP. Too often I find myself in the awkward position that I didn’t eat anything before I have to run out of the house for the day. Sometimes I can grab an apple or carrot slices to bring with me, but most often I’m in too much of a hurry to prepare snacks.
When I know I’m going to be out for a long time or need to travel; I know it’s a must to bring packaged snacks with me. When I first started on the AIP diet, I thought I had to stay at home to eat right, but in the last few months, I’ve learned of some great companies that serve the AIP community for snack options.
I’m sharing my list with you to save you time and research. I make sure to keep several of these AIP packaged snacks on hand, so I’m not left hungry when I go out, or even worse, get a bite while I’m out that is not AIP friendly.

Yum. I really love the Epic Bison bar. I’ll have to try some of these.
That’s great, Liz! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi there, there are some great treats here. My eyes were drawn to the Paelo balls. Yum!
I love the snack tips- but having been on AIP diet I know any kind of sugar isn’t allowed so how do the marshmallows and caramels work for this? Just a question- I was on a pretty strict form of the AIP- maybe some versions allow some sugar?
Good question, Laura! Depending on the doctor and healing journey, some people may be advised to go off sugar completely for a time – I did just that last year for a few months. Overall, the Paleo Autoimmune Protocol does allow for natural sugars like honey and maple syrup. But it’s more about limiting the quantity and frequency.
We also love the baked apple, banana and coconut chips by Bare – only one or two ingredients, for example, apple and cinnamon. No added oils, sugars or preservatives. Very crunchy and delicious! Perfect snack to keep in the car just in case 🙂 I believe they are sold on Amazon, but I just buy them at my local grocery stores (Sprouts or Raley’s).
Yes, Anna, I enjoy those too! I found them after I wrote the article so I should add those for sure! Thank you for your comment and for stopping by!
These all sound like awesome options, but it appears they are all out of stock. Any updated ideas? I need individually packaged snacks to send with my kids to school since they have all 3 apparently inherited my autoimmune mess.
