Are you considering Elite Blog Academy as an investment to your future? Here is my Elite Blog Academy review to help you make an informed decision.
What is Elite Blog Academy?
In a nutshell, Elite Blog Academy, created by Ruth Soukup of Living Well Spending Less, is a highly respected and sought-after blogging course. EBA is another familiar name that you may hear often since it’s quicker to say.
There are four modules, and each module has three units for a total of twelve units in the course. Each unit is like a full course in itself. I’ll even give you a peek into the course by sharing the module titles.
- Module 1: Refine Your Message
- Module 2: Grow Your Traffic
- Module 3: Monetize Your Platform
- Module 4: Build Your Business
EBA takes into account different learning styles by offering videos, text, and homework assignments. There is an active Facebook group for members which I’ll talk about more later on!
I’m always motivated to buy a course if there is a good bonus, and Elite Blog Academy includes multiple bonus offers in the price, and they change from year to year.
Ruth strongly recommends that EBA members follow the course at their own pace without skipping ahead or skipping over assignments. Members have lifetime access to the course so there is no rush to keep up and the course can be taken as often as you want.
As always, you get a lot out of the course if you put a lot into following the course and engaging in the community. The students that complete all of the assignments with their very best effort and engage with other bloggers in the EBA community have the highest success record for making their blog a profitable business.
If you would like to start learning from Ruth now, she has an Elite Blog Academy blog.
Who Can Benefit from Elite Blog Academy?
Elite Blog Academy is for bloggers who want to make their blog an income generating business.
I have noticed that people that join Elite Blog Academy are very motivated, passionate, and determined.
Even though everyone has different goals and dreams for their blogging business, it’s a common denominator that they start a blog with the plan to make a part-time or full-time income.
The Highlights of Elite Blog Academy
Roadmap
The modules and units in EBA give bloggers a roadmap to follow which eliminates a lot of confusion that comes with how to blog for profit.
Bloggers of any niche can follow the course and go different directions with their blog, but still be able to follow the roadmap to a profitable blog.
Accountability
Many of the bloggers form masterminds, a.k.a. accountability partners or groups, with one or more members as a result of getting along in the Facebook group. I have a few accountability partners that I’ve met through the EBA community, and they continue to be a daily source of encouragement.
I have become such close friends to so many of the EBA members that my heart tells me that is worth the price of EBA alone!
Networking
I have had the opportunity to network with other bloggers I wouldn’t encounter otherwise if it weren’t for the EBA group. For example, I’ve seen EBA graduates offer new EBA members the opportunity to guest post on their blog and other opportunities that don’t come by very often for the average blogger.
EBA graduates are some of the most impressive bloggers I’ve ever seen, and it’s a huge advantage to be in a Facebook group with them for networking opportunities.
Not everyone that joins EBA takes advantage of these opportunities to network with other bloggers, but the opportunities are there for the taking.
Networking with professional bloggers is another reason that EBA is worth the price alone!
Support
The members of EBA are dynamic, and they are a great group of people to be around, and so eager to help.
The Facebook group is full of all the bloggers that enrolled in EBA, so there are bloggers at all levels. We help each other out, share wins, help answer questions and provide feedback. It is primarily a vast resource for new bloggers to ask questions and receive accurate feedback.
Money-Back Guarantee
Elite Blog Academy cuts out the risk by offering a 180-day money back guarantee to see if it’s the right fit for you. I love a good guarantee!
The Downside of Elite Blog Academy
Okay, every honest review needs to include a downside!
Some may consider the price of EBA to be a downside, although I honestly believe there is a lot of value for what you get.
Elite Blog Academy costs $897. There is a payment plan option, so you don’t have to pay at once.
EBA is like going to school to develop a new blogging career. The cost of EBA is a tiny fraction and the time invested is so much less than what I paid for my bachelor’s degree to become a registered nurse.
To be a nurse, I went to a 4-year college across the country, and at the time paid nearly six digits for enrollment, living costs, and other school expenses. Also, I spent many hours working at hospitals and other medical facilities, and I never got paid because it was part of the education. After all this effort and expense, some of the people in my graduating class never went on to get a job as a nurse.
In comparison, the cost of EBA to make your blog your business is lower risk and cheaper than other career opportunities.
Elite Blog Academy is not meant to teach bloggers how to start a blog technically.
Elite Blog Academy is not a blogging course about the technical aspects of blogging.
If you’re brand new to blogging, you’ll need to develop your necessary blogging skills at the same time or take some time before starting EBA to do that.
To help bloggers who need technical help to start their blog, EBA is offering a Build Your Blog Bootcamp where EBA graduates are available to help people with all their technical questions to get their blog up and running. Available for a limited time.
The EBA member’s Facebook group is a place where technical questions get asked so you will get the support you need from fellow EBA members.
Here are a couple of valuable resources for beginning bloggers that compliment Elite Blog Academy.
- Building a Framework got me through the technical aspects of setting up my blog and social media accounts.
- Blogcabulary Plus is a brand new eBook that goes over 340+ blogging terminologies and more. Blogging can be like learning a new language, and this book is an excellent reference for the terminology you’ll encounter in the world of blogging!
Once a year open enrollment
Important, EBA opens up once a year for enrollment, so that’s something to keep in mind during open enrollment from March 5-9th, 2018. If enrollment is closed, you can get on the waiting list.
Starting My Blogging Journey Because of Elite Blog Academy
I wanted to start a blog for five years before I started my blog in April 2017! I kept putting it off because I had no clue where to start and the thought of it was even overwhelming!
I heard about Elite Blog Academy from an EBA graduate that I started following after I read her guest post on Money Saving Mom. I signed up to be on the EBA waiting list so I could find out more information.
Before enrollment opened, I watched a series of webinars called Blogging Made Simple hosted by Elite Blog Academy and took lots of notes. Feeling so inspired, I wrote my very first blog post the day I learned how to write a pillar post, and it is one of my most read posts to this day.
Blogging Made Simple provided me so much value that I knew that EBA was the answer to taking the overwhelm out of making blogging a business.
Enrollment day came, and I was waiting with credit card in hand to enroll. I had found the answer to soothe my fear of starting a blog!
Going into blogging with Elite Blog Academy as my roadmap gave me the encouragement I needed to take the leap and embark on this new journey!
So much anticipation had built up to this moment that I still have a vivid memory of how I felt when I was filling out my registration for Elite Blog Academy. I was jumping up and down afterward with sheer excitement about my blogging journey ahead!
I bought Elite Blog Academy late February 2017, and because I’m a perfectionist, I wanted my blog launched before diving into EBA. I spent the month of March 2017 to set up and launch my blog.
Once I understood the basics of how to blog and had my blog set up with some affiliate links, I dived into Elite Blog Academy in late April 2017.
Here’s the video I recorded as a new blogger with no video experience. I shared the video on the EBA Facebook group when I started Elite Blog Academy!
I’ve learned that blogging has a lot of ups and downs, but having Elite Blog Academy as my blogging home base encourages me!
The first year of blogging is like getting in a new relationship, sometimes it can take a while to get comfortable, and there’s always something new to learn.
I spent a lot of my time in my first year of blogging taking EBA and other blogging courses, learning new tools, and helping other bloggers on their blogging journey. Now, I’m focused on putting everything I’ve learned into action. My blog traffic and subscribers are going up, and my ideas for products keep increasing.
I have a solid foundation to take my blog to the next level in my second year of blogging which starts this April 2018.
I’ve built up so much confidence with blogging as a business that I’m even starting a second blog!
Conclusion
Elite Blog Academy will change your life if you give it 100% of your effort and complete the course! Although, my favorite parts of EBA is something you can’t put a price tag on!
I received the support I needed when things got tough in life and in business! The support found from bloggers is unlike any other friendships I’ve had especially when your family and friends don’t get why you love to blog.
In all honesty, every blogger has those days where they feel like giving up because being an entrepreneur is hard work but spending the money to join EBA kept me accountable as well as my accountability partners.
I was told before going into blogging to expect no pageviews or income the first year. It takes perseverance to keep going in the beginning. Although, I’m happy to share that I’ve made back my investment into EBA within my first year of blogging!
The majority of my blogging connections, my accountability partners, and my best friends are a direct result of my membership from Elite Blog Academy, and you can’t put a price tag on that.
$897 for the cost of Elite Blog Academy is worth the investment if it’s within your financial means and you need a blogging roadmap and support.
Elite Blog Academy is so much more than a blogging course! The supportive EBA community and blogging roadmap may positively change your life, but you'll never know if you don't join!Click To TweetEnrollment is closed for 2018.
If you have any interest, I’d recommend you get on the waiting list! Sometimes EBA has a flash sale before the next open enrollment.
Join EBA members for a supportive network of bloggers to grow your blogging business!

Nice review. You should do more of these. I never know what courses are any good. It’s alott of money to invest
If you take anymore courses please write about them. It’s really cool that you made friends in the program. You can never have enough friends or connections.
Thanks
Thank you, Devin! I really appreciated your comment because I do plan to review more blog courses. 🙂
Hi Stephanie,
That was a great review! Very honest and helpful. Do you think you would have been able to monetize successfully without EBA? I am an EBA-er…but I have to be honest I haven’t put in a ton of time in order to complete it. It is hard to find the time and keep up with content for my blog at the same time. Ps I love your blog!
Cheers,
Marnie
Good question, Marnie! EBA gave me the courage to start blogging, and the support and accountability I received from the EBA community gave me the perseverance to keep blogging. But to answer your question, I know bloggers that have successfully monetized their blogs without EBA, but I’m not sure I would have been one of them because I wouldn’t have started blogging without being introduced to EBA. I needed the structured roadmap that EBA offers, and then I took a lot of additional courses along the way to supplement. I hope that helps!
I keep hearing about this course, I just wish it was cheaper, haha but it seems so helpful to so many bloggers!
